bookit is a platform designed to facilitate bookings between businesses offering various services (referred to as "Service Providers" or "Businesses") and their customers ("Clients"). We act as a platform provider, enabling seamless connection and management.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our App and services. The types of information we collect vary depending on whether you are a Business (Service Provider) using the App or a Client interacting with a Business through the App.

2.1. Information Collected from Businesses (Service Providers)
When a Business registers for and uses the Bookit App, we collect the following types of information:
• Account and Contact Information: This includes your full name, business name, email address, phone number, and account credentials. We require this information for account creation, communication, and security.
• Business Profile Information: Details about your services, including descriptions, pricing, availability, staff details (e.g., names, schedules, services provided by each staff member), business logo, and any other relevant information you choose to provide for listing on the App.
• Booking and Transaction Data: Information related to bookings made through your App instance, including client details provided by you or your clients, service types, dates, times, and booking status (confirmed, rescheduled, canceled).
• Payment Information: While actual payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors (as stated in our Terms of Service), we may collect transaction IDs, payment status, and other non-sensitive payment-related data necessary for accounting and service provision. We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
• Usage Data: Information on how you access and use the App, such as features used, time spent on the App, and interactions with various functionalities.
• Communication Data: Records of your communications with us, including customer support inquiries.

2.2. Information Collected from Clients (Processed on Behalf of Businesses)
bookit acts as a data processor for the personal information of Clients that Businesses collect and manage through the App. This means:
• Client Data Provided by Businesses: Businesses are responsible for entering Client information into the App (e.g., names, contact details, booking history related to the Business's services).
• Client Data Collected via booking: When Clients book services through your dedicated Bookit web app, they will provide their personal information (e.g., name, email, phone number, desired service, date/time). This data is collected on behalf of the Business to facilitate the booking.
•Businesses are the Data Controllers: As stated in our Terms of Service, you (the Business) are responsible for complying with all applicable data privacy laws regarding the collection and processing of your Clients' personal information, including obtaining any necessary consent. You agree to use Client data obtained through the App only for the purpose of providing your services and communicating with Clients about their bookings, unless the Client provides explicit consent for other uses (e.g., marketing).

3. How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
• To Provide and Maintain the App Services: This includes enabling you to list services, manage bookings, connect with Clients, and provide a dedicated web app for your business.
• Account Management and Security: To manage your account, verify your identity, maintain the security of the App, and prevent fraud.
• To Improve and Develop the App: To understand how our App is used, identify areas for improvement, develop new features (including AI-powered automation to enhance customer retention and streamline operations), and enhance user experience.
• Communication: To send you service-related communications, updates, support messages, and billing notifications.
• Billing and Fee Collection: To process payments for our services and manage your subscription.
• Enforce Terms and Legal Compliance: To enforce our Terms of Service, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
• Marketing and Promotion: To display your business name, logo, and service information to Clients on the App and potentially in our marketing materials, as permitted by our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
• With Clients: Your business name, logo, service information, availability, and pricing (as provided by you) are shared with Clients to enable them to book your services.
• With Your Clients (for booking facilitation): Client booking data (such as their name, contact details, service booked) is made available to you through the App to facilitate the service booking and communication.
• With Third-Party Service Providers: We engage third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing). These third parties have access to your information only to perform these tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, the third-party payment processor mentioned in our Terms of Service.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
• With Your Consent: We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. The App may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as payment processors. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you interact with.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after any modifications to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt.
